Tual is opening its new commercial headquarters at Bicester Motion in Oxfordshire to help grow its electrification of commercial vehicles.
Current fleet-operator needs are not well served by eLCV offerings on the market, with driving-range and vehicle-charging challenges creating a significant cost-burden on businesses. With 40 per cent of van use-cases exceeding real-world eLCV range, and 70 per cent of van drivers unable to charge at home or depot.
Tual’s modular powerbank offers a chance for enterprise fleets to overcome grid and vehicle constraints using a scalable solution compatible with vehicle manufacturers’ existing platforms.
Complementing the business’ technical development and engineering centre and planned assembly line in Glasgow, UK, the new Bicester Motion unit supports the company’s scale-up phase.
Bicester Motion is based at the former RAF Bicester Aerodrome with a community of more than 50 mobility businesses employing over 500 people across all forms of mobility technology, past, present and future. Tual will be joining Polestar’s UK HQ, the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team, electric two-wheeler manufacturer Zapp and synthetic fuel developer Zero Petroleum.
