The Sun King

King Charles III is on a mission to curtail and reduce carbon emissions from Royal activities, emissions that have been slowly rising over the last year.

The King is installing solar panels at Windsor Castle, electric lighting to replace gas at Buckingham Palace and has expressed the desire to green his car fleet.

Solar panels have replaced lead roofing on the Lord Chamberlain's Upper Store at the castle, and more are expected to be added in time along with several thousand in the Sandringham Estate.

Charles, a long-time supporter of ecological issues, will also switch his Bently cars to biofuel next year as strep toward a fully electric fleet.

Even though the King intends to purchase two new helicopters, it is the intention here too to use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
