Tesla first made it is intention to supply consumer electricity few weeks ago with an application to the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority for an electricity supply licence.  

The company already supplies power in Texas, using a bidirectional vehicle to home V2H system that allows users to charge their cars then using them as domestic batteries or sell to the grid.

Why it is noteworthy now is that Tesla car sales are falling in UK and the Continent and Musk, who makes no secret of his desire of holistic system, may well be preparing a leap in connected technology. Tesla already has cars, batteries, high-capacity storage, charging infrastructure and solar divisions.

Guess we will watch this space. Oh yes, he has Space X too, but we really can’t see how that one fits yet!
