The Department of Energy Security and Net Zero has designated the Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) as the counterparty for carbon transport and storage revenue support contracts.
It’s not exactly a surprise, and indeed something of a formality as the sole shareholder of LCCC is the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.
Established in 2014, LCCC currently manages 240 contracts with low carbon electricity generators under the Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme and manages the Capacity Market operations.
