Enel takes US wind stake

Enel has signed a swap agreement with Gulf Pacific Power to increase its equity stake in wind farms, increasing its net installed consolidated capacity in the US by 285MW, and adding to Enel’s total installed renewable capacity in the US to 11,620MW in the first quarter of 2025.

The transaction is in line with the Enel Group's strategy to increase the generation capacity from renewable sources, including through the acquisition of assets already in operation. The group’s total capacity is now more than 90GW of energy, about 84 per cent of which is zero-emission.
