The Dacia Spring is now the cheapest car in the UK, and it is fully electric, marking a milestone in the adoption of EVs.
Renault-owned Dacia has educed the price of its Spring model, making it not only the cheapest new EV in the UK, but also the cheapest car. The Romanian built car, in its entry level form, the Expression Electric 70, will cost £11,990 on-the-road.
For that you get a five door, four seat car with a 24.3Kwh battery giving a 0-62mph time of 12.3 seconds and a range of 140 miles. You even get a DC rapid charge of 20-80 per cent in 29 minutes.
