Siemens has reported that its revenue grew three percent on a comparable basis to €18.4 billion year on year for the first quarter with large orders for infrastructure.
Orders at Smart Infrastructure division rose five per cent on a comparable basis to a record high of €6.2bn, with the highest growth contribution coming from the electrification business, which won several larger contracts from datacentres and customers in the energy and industry areas.
Revenue also rose in all businesses to a total of €5.3bn led by the electrification and the electrical products businesses, which executed strongly on their large order backlogs from datacentres and energy customers. On a geographic basis, order and revenue growth was driven by the US and Europe.
