Great British Energy will be headquartered in Aberdeen, the Government has finally confirmed.

Two additional sites will open in Edinburgh and Glasgow and the company will be initially located in government buildings across these three cities, while permanent bases are established.

An interim chief executive will be appointed in the near future as well, along with the already appointed start-up chair Juergen Maier, former CEO of Siemens UK.
